Lunch: Spag with saucisse, peas, onion

A fine bank holiday. I delivered the killer blow to the double tree root, doing it in one clean sweep from the first bank. I had to - I had an audience of 2 mtb-ers coming down

Dinner: asparagus

Salad of round lettuce, Jersey royals, gesiers, fried walnuts and pecans in balsamic

The gesiers were from the xmas goose, I'd gooked them in fat and froze them well out of the sight of Colin. They were tender and delicious

Wednesday 4.5

ackee, tomatoes, peanuts, onion, chipotle-allspice-thyme, rice

Many years ago we bought a tin of ackee. I have done the honorable thing and eaten it now. It is strange looking stuff, like lumps of lumpy scrambled egg, but tases all right. I sort of rode up Greenway Lane for the first time in the sense that every part of it was ridden. I stopped for breath a few times and twice stopped by being caught out, whatever the term is, I don't know, but restarted and did it right the second time.

Wagon Wheel with mum Derek Jonathan Jude Jason Jamie it rained, I tried again at the tree root but everything was rubbish today because its slippery so I tried a few times but never managed enough speed to clear the first bit.

I did 2 legs of lamb, rather a lot but 1 would not have been enough. A 500g pack of beans, quite a lot left; rat was 5 courgettes 3 aubergines 3 peppers, again quite a lot left; 3 small loaves of bread, about 1.5kg potatoes, a few left. Did about 8 roasted tomatoes, these all went.
