this was a joint effort. Robert S. had provided the wine but was otherwise occupied

Lamb and green beans (Diana); kidney beans with plum sauce

the lamb recipe is fab, the beans are pureed and make a lovely thick sauce.

Gratin of sauteed marrow (giant courgette) with mushrooms lentils cheese; potatoes with olive oil

marrow almost fries as well as courgette but it's a bit watery, and the seeds and skin are not very nice

Dinner: rack of lamb with sesame crust, some sort of heritage tatties, spinach

Muscovado and anise parfait, carmelised oatmeal, sultanas, ginger

variant of something in Dessert. Parfait had chilli, ginger, anise and something else, cinnamon I think.

Colin had bought the beans at the w/e, I kept asking when he was going to do them and he denied buying any.
